03/29/11 0935hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this morning for a 2nd alarm requested to a mobile home fire on the River Road
in the Town of Lindley, NY. Chief 26-01 (Hill) arrived and requested the additional alarm due to a working fire with smoke
showing. Engine 8-3 responded to assist. Upon arrival, Chief 26 (Mcfall) requested E8-3 stage and send its manpower to work
at the structure. Lindley fire units made a quick attack and knocked down the fire. E8-3s crew went to work ventilating and
knocking down hot spots, utilizing the thermal imager.The majority of the fire was contained to one half of the structure.
E8-3 cleared the scene at 1056 hours. See the dash cam video from E8-3.
HELICOPTER ASSIST AT HMAC LZ

03/25/11 0800hrs
Station 8 was dispatched to assist LifeNet 7-7 and Mansfield Ambulance 2-7 at the HMAC Landing Zone. Engine
8-3 and Squad 8-18 borth responded. Units set up the LZ and assisted the crew with loading in the helicopter. All units cleared
at 0850 hours.
VEHICLE CRASH WITH ENTRAPMENT



03/24/11 0417hrs
Station 8 was dispatched with Lindley FD to a tractor trailer and car MVC on Route 15 in Lindley, NY. Engine
8-2 responded and was notified by communications that a similar incident was reported on Route 15 south of Route 49 in PA.
E8-2 was redirected to that location to check. E8-2 arrived and reported 4 ALS injuried with entrapment X3. Station 8 was
redispatched with Station 7 (Tioga) and SSMH Medic 1 added to the alarm. Lindley units were redirected to the scene and Station
2 (Mansfield) was also dispatched for additional ambulances. Squad 8-18, A8-6, and A8-7 also responed. E8-2 handled the extrication
with assistance from Lindley FD. Units remained on scene after patient transport to assist PSP and the tow services.
VEHICLE INTO MEDIAN

03/22/11 0300hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this morning to Route 15 in Lawrence Township for a vehicle in the median with
unknown injuries. Engine 8-2, Ambulance 8-6, C8-60 (Rotsell) and C8-20(Ransom) all responded. Upon arrival of the chiefs,
it was reported of 1 vehicle in the median with no injuries.E8-2 and A8-6 arrived, secure the vehicle, and obtained a patient
refusal. Units remained on scene to assist PSP and the tow service and returned at 0407 hours.
CAR INTO TRACTOR MVC

03/20/11 0711hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this morning to the intersection of Route 287 and the School Road for the report
of a vehicle and tractor MVC. Engine 8-2 with Captain 8 (Short), Squad 8-18, Ambulance 8-6, and Chiefs 8-10, 8-60, and 8-70
all responed. E8-2 arrived and established command with a vehicle off the roadway with heavy front end damage. The tractor
and passenger vehicle had been traveling south on Route 287 when the vehicle struck the rear of the tractor send the tractor
into the guardrails and the passenger car off the roadway. Both patients were self extricated and assessed by EMS. Squad 8-18
set up traffic control and units awaited on scene for the tow service and PSP-Mansfield. All units cleared at 0804 hours.
ENGINE 8-3 TO WORKING FIRE IN TIOGA




03/20/11 0308hrs
Station 8 was dispatched on a 2nd alarm assignment with Station 11 (Middlebury) and Station 2 (Mansfield) to
a mutual aid residential fire on Berry Street in Tioga Borough. Station 7 (Tioga) was out a working structure fire
and requested the 2nd alarm and a ladder truck.Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 responded. Upon arrival, E8-3 hit the hydrant and
laid 800' of 5" supply line to the fire scene and then supplied to L2-9. E8-3s crew went to work with other interior units
to extinguish the fire and conduct overhaul. All units operated on scene until returning at 0527 hours.
STA 8 STARTS OUT WILDFIRE SEASON

03/18/11 1356hrs
Station 8 was alerted this afternoon for a wildfire near 78 East Lawrence Road in Lawrence Township. Chief
8-10 (Scott) arrived and reported a 100'X100' wildfire in a corn field. Patrol 8-4 with 2 and Engine 8-3 with 5 responded.
Upon arrival, P8-4 went into pump and rolll mode and drove around the perimeter to extinguish the fire and mopped up hot spots.
E8-3 was staged in a nearby driveway. All units cleared at 1431 hours.
TRAFFIC CONTROL CALL

03/06/11 1314hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this morning to the Buckwheat Hollow Road in Lawrence Township to assist PSP with
traffic control at the scene of a crash. Squad 8-18, Patrol 8-4, and Chief 8 (Strange) all responded. Units closed down a
section of Buckwheat Hollow Road to allow the tow service to remove the vehicle from over the embankment. Units returned at
1405 hours.
