POLE FIRE - NOTHING FOUND

Station 8 was dispatched for wires arcing on State Street in Lawrenceville Borough during high wind conditions. Chief 8-10 arrived and reported nothing visable, and recalled all units and requested the electric company notified.

VEHICLE ROLLOVER WITH INJURIES

Station 8 was alerted this early this afternoon for a vehicle rollover crash with possible ejection. Engine 8-2 with a crew of 3, Ambulance 8-6, Ambulance 8-7, and Chief 8-10 responded. Upon arrival of C810, it was reported as a vehicle on its roof with 1 BLS and 2 ALS patients, no ejection. Crews worked to package the patients. E8-2 remained on scene to assist with traffic control.

MUTUAL AID MVC - RECALL

This morning Station 8 was dispatched to a mutual aid MVC in the Town of Lindley on the Anglehart Rd. Engine 8-2 with C8-10 and C8-20, and Chief 8 responded. E82 was recalled prior to arrival at 0917hrs.

Chief 8-10 (Scott), Squad 8-18, and Engine 8-3 with Chief 8 (Strange) were still out of the station from the previous wildfire when both Chiefs recieved a phone call from a station 8 member reporting a possible building fire at Freds Lobster Garden on Route 287 in Tioga Township. Chief 8-10 directed all units to start to that location to investigate. Upon arrival, the owner of the business had used chemical extinguishers and torn off the wooden siding of the building which had been on fire. Crews from the squad extinguished the pile of burning wood and sprayed the side of the building. E8-3s crew checked for extension with nothing found. Chief 7 was notified and the scene was turned over. All units returned at 1921 hours.

WILDFIRE - CONTROLLED BURN
 
03/18/10 1850hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this evening to a possible wildfire in the area of the Tioga River Road in Lawrence Township. A passer-by on US 15 could see a fire and called 911. Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded and determined the fire was on the Cummings Road. Squad 8-18 responded with a crew of 4. After investigation it was found that the fire was a controlled burn and all units were recalled.

MUTUAL AID WILDFIRE

Station 8 was requested mutual aid this afternoon to a wildfire on Peifer Lane in Tioga Township. Squad 8-18 responded with a crew of 5 with Chief 8-10 (Scott). Squad 8-18 was recalled at 1428 hours and returned to station.
 

AUTO FIRE ALARM - YET AGAIN

Station 8 was alerted this afternoon for an automatic fire alarm at 42 Main Street in Lawrenceville Borough. Chief 8-10 (Scott) arrived and reported the building evacuated. It was determined that burnt food in Apt 7 had tripped the alarm. Apparatus was ordered to standby at the station. Chief 8-20 (Ransom) arrived and assisted with resetting the alarm. All units were recalled.

AUTO FIRE ALARM - AGAIN
 
03/16/10 0817hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched to Box 8-97 at Halls Home and Lumber for an automatic fire alarm, reported pull station. Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded direct and was notified that Captain 8 (Short) was on scene reporting a false activation. All stations were recalled.

HELO ASSIST AT HMAC

Station 8 was dispatched to assist Guthrie Air at the HMAC Landing Zone. Engine 8-3 responded this with Chief 8-20 (Ransom) and Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded direct. Captain 8-10 (Hackett) was the landing zone officer. Crews assisted with setting up the landing zone and returned at 2224 hours

MVC - RECALL

Station 8 was dispatched this afternoon mutual aid to Lindley at Route 15 and Caroline Drive for a vehicle crash. Lindley Chief 26-01 arrived and recalled Station 8.

AUTO FIRE ALARM
 
03/13/10 0012hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were alerted early this morning for an automatic fire alarm Route 287 at Adult World in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-20 (Ransom) responded direct and arrived to establish command. C8-20 investigated and reported a false alarm and recalled all units at 0021 hours.
