VEHICLE ROLLOVER ON 2 LANE ROUTE 15

Station 8 was alerted this afternoon with Lindley Fire Department for a single vehicle rollover crash with
reported entrapment. Engine 8-2 with 3, Chief 8 (Strange), and Ambulance 8-6 responded. E8-2 was advised enroute that the
patient was out of the vehicle with negative entrapment. Units arrived and assisted Rural Metro EMS with packaging the patient
for transport. 8's units cleared the scene at 1117 hours.
MUTUAL AID WATER RESCUE
07/23/11 1924hrs
Station 8 was dispatched with Station 2 (Mansfield) to the area of the Lambs Creek Boat Launch for the report
of 2 overturned boats. Station 1 (Wellsboro) was also dispatched shortly after. Squad 8-18 with Boat 8-28 responded. Fire
Police Captain 2-90 arrived and reported 2 jet ski's in the water with no problems and requested a recall for all units a
1939 hours.
AUTO FIRE ALARM AT HALLS
07/20/11 0657hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were alerted for an auto fire alarm at Halls Homes and Lumber on Route 287 in Lawrence
Township. Chief 8 (Strange) responded and was notified by dispatch that indivduals were on scene reporting a faulty activation.
All units were recalled at 0659 hours.
WORKING BUILDING FIRE IN THE TWP
07/19/11 1535hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched to a reported structure fire on East Lawrence Road in Lawrence
Township. EMS Chief 8-60 (Rotsell) arrived and reported smoke showing. Engine 8-3 (Lt 8) with 4 and Engine 7-3 responded.
E7-3 arrived first and stretched a line. E8-3 arrived a few seconds later and hooked a supply line to E7-3. Lindley FD and
Tankers from 12 (Millerton), 18 (Nelson), and 2(Millerton) were then requested by Chief 7 (Preston). After a quick interior
search and ventilation, it was found that the fire was knocked down. Second due departments were cancelled and units remained
on scene for investigation before returning at 1622 hours.
RECENT TRAINING FOR MEMBERS

A group of members from Station 8 recently attended two training sessions in the area. Chief Strange and
a group of "Young'ns" participated in a gas emergencies class held in Knoxville. Part of their class involved a pratical session
of extinguishing a gas related fire. On the 17th, Asst Chief Scott and FF Groves attended in house training with the members
of Lindley Fire Department for vehicle extrication.
CRASH ON ROUTE 15 IN THE TOWNSHIP


07/13/11 0022hrs
Stations 8, 7 (Tioga), and 26 (Lindley) were all dispatched to Route 15 near the Route 49 exit for the report
of a single vehicle crash into the guardrails. Engine 8-2, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8 (Strange) all responded. Upon arrival,
Chief 8 reported a single ALS injury. Station 7 units were cancelled with the exception of E7-3 which was used with Lindley's
units for traffic control purposes with one lane blocked. Units operated and remained on the scene to assist PSP and the Windows
Towing. Units returned at 0114 hours.
MUTUAL AID CRASH IN LINDLEY

07/12/11 1559hrs
Station 8 was dispatched with Lindley Station 26 on the Watson Creek Road in the Town of Lindley for a single
vehicle crash with possibly one injury. Engine 8-2 (C8) and Ambulance 8-6 both responded. Upon arrival crews work with
Lindley FD and Rural Metro EMS before returning at 1646 hours.
TANKER DUE ON WILDFIRE
07/09/11 1607hrs
Station 8 was dispatched mutual aid for a tanker response to a wildfire in Middlebury Township on the Ridge
Road. Stations 11 (Middlebury) and 7 (Tioga) were on a first alarm assignment. With T11-15 out of the station on another detail,
Chief 11 (Rice) requested that E8-3 be dispatched to assist. Engine 8-3 (C810, Cp8, Cp810) with 4, Patrol 8-4 (Lt8)
with 2, and Chief 8 (Strange) all responded. Units reached the Ridge Road/Route 287 intersection before being cancelled by
command at 1624 hours.
ELECTRIAL FIRE INVESTIGATION


07/06/11 2135hrs
Station 8 was dispatched on Box 8-02 in Lawrenceville Borough on Academy Street for the report of a possible
electrical fire in a residence. Engine 8-3 (C810), Ambulance 8-6 (C860), and Chief 8 (Strange) all responded. Chief 8 arrived
and reported nothing showing and requested E8-3 use the TIC to check the wall for extension. Nothing was found and all
units cleared at 2203 hours.
AUTO FIRE ALARM
07/05/11 0832hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched to WardFlex in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-30 (Windows) arrived
and investigated. E8-3 stood by in quarters when the recall was issued by C8-30 at 0839 hours. |
VEHICLE FIRE AT STATE LINE



07/01/11 1802hrs
Stations 8, 7 (Tioga), and 26 (Lindley) were all dispatched on Box 8-99 on Route 15 for the report
of a vehicle fire. A light smoke condition in the camper was being reported. Chief 7 (Preston) arrived and reported
the incident in New York with the fire out. After investigation, it was determined that the exhaust was bent upwards after
an earlier tire blow out. The hot exhaust caused a small fire in the camper area. All units cleared at 1843 hours.
