AUTO FIRE ALARM AT HMAC

Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched this afternoon for an automatic fire alarm at the HMAC facility
in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded direct and was notified that the call was received from an alarm company
reporting a water flow alarm. Crews for both of 8's engines stood by at the station. C810 arrived and met with the security
officials. They stated the alarm system was being worked on and it was a faulty trip. All units were recalled at 1419 hours.
VEHICLE FIRE IN THE TOWNSHIP

Stations 8 and 12 (Millerton) were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the Burrows Hollow Road in Lawrence Township.
Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 with Chief 8-20 (Ransom) responded and Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded direct. Upon arrival if C8-10,
it was reported as a log hauling vehicle with a working fire in the passenger compartment. E8-3 arrived and stretched a 1
3/4" trash line to knock down the fire E12-2 and T12-5 arrived on scene and staged. The fire was quickly contained and
all units returned at 1423 hours.
ICE CAUSES 2 VEHICLE CRASH

Stations 8 and 18 (Nelson) were dispatched to a vehicle crash on Route 49, Lawrence Township. Chief 8-10
(Scott) and Chief 8-20 (Ransom) responded direct. Engine 8-2 with a crew of 3, Squad 8-18 with a crew of 4, Ambulance 8-6,
and Ambulance 8-7 all responded. C8-10 and C8-20 arrived and reported 2 vehicles, one in the roadway and one off the road.
After assessing, it was determined that there was one injury. The roads had become icey with mixed precipiation. Engine 8-2's
crew secured the vehicles and Squad 8-18 provided traffic control. All units returned at 0014 hours.
STANDBY @ STATION 2 WITH E8-3

Engine 8-3 was dispatched this morning for a standby assignment in Mansfield. Stations 1 (Wellsboro),
2 (Mansfield), 4 (Blossburg), 9 (Liberty), and 11 (Middlebury) were all operating at structure fire Box Alarm 2-03 on the
Spencer Road in Richmond Township. E8-3 responded with a crew of 4 led by Captain 8 (Short) to standby at Station 2. E8-3
stood by and returned to quarters at 0701 hours.
LATE NIGHT CRASH IN THE SNOW

Stations 8 & 12 were dispatched late Thursday night for a 1 vehicle crash on the Burrows Hollow Road
in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-20 (Ransom) responded and was notified of 1 injury confined to the vehicle and that the call
was reported by OnStar. Engine 8-2 with a crew of 3 led by Capt 8 (Short) and Ambulance 8-6 responded. Upon arrival,
Chief 8-20 recalled Station 12 and E8-2's crew assisted EMS with packaging.
LANDING ZONE FOR LIFE FLIGHT

Engine 8-3 was dispatched this morning to assist Life Flight and Valley Ambulance at the HMAC Landing Zone.
E8-3 with a crew of 5 with Chief 8-10 (Scott), Chief 8-20 (Ransom), and Chief 8-60 (Button) responded. E8-3's crew set up
the LZ but was recalled when Valley Ambulance cancelled the helicopter. All units returned at 0804 hours.
E8-3 MUTUAL AID TO CATON

Engine 8-3 was dispatched to a chimney fire early Monday evening on the Church Creek Road in the Town of
Caton, NY. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 with Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded. Upon arrival, E8-3s crew stood by while crews from
Caton, Lindley, and South Corning checked for extension. No fire was found and E8-3 returned to quarters.
VEHICLE FIRE ON THE HIGHWAY

Station 8 was dispatched today for a vehicle fire on Route 15 north of the Route 49 interchange. Chief 8-10
(Scott) arrived and reported a working vehicle fire. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5, Engine 8-2 with a crew of 3, and Squad 8-18
with 2 all responded. E8-3 arrived and stretched the trashline for a quick knock down. E8-2's crew assisted with fire suppression
and the Squad provided traffic control south of the incident. All units cleared from the fire @ 1003 hours.

Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched this morning to a reported working fire at the Acorn
Market in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-10 (Scott) responded and was notified that it was a fire at the grease fryer and
the building was being evacutated. Upon arrival it was reported as nothing showing and further investigation found that the
fire was out at the fryer unit. D-7 was issued a stand by at their station and Engine 8-3 was requested to the scene.E8-3
with a crew of 5 under command of Captain Short responded and Chief 8-20 (Ransom) responded direct. The crew was sent
to investigate any extension with nothing found. All units cleared at 0651hours.
