The Lawrenceville Fire Department is located within Northern
Tioga County along US Route 15 / Future I-99 in Pennsylvania. The area is made up of a mix of residential, rural, industrial,
and recreational areas.The department responds to approximatley 125 fire/rescue emergencies a year with the ambulance
association covering 400+ EMS calls every year. The members are cross-trained in medical, fire, HAZMAT, and
vehicle rescue operations with some having been trained in other areas of special rescue. LFD's first due area consists
of approximatley 36 square miles which includes the municipalities of Lawrenceville Borough and Lawrence Township with
some mutual aid first due assignments in Tioga, Jackson, and Nelson Townships. D-8 also has first due assignments
on structure fire box alarms and MVC's in Lindley, New York and structure fires in Caton, NY. Station 8 consists
of 3 fire apparatus, 2 ambulances, a support unit, rescue boat, 4 Fire Chiefs, 2 EMS Chiefs, 2 Fire Captains,
and 2 Fire Lieutenants.
