Lindley FD and Station 8 were alerted this morning to a tractor trailer MVC on Route 15 in the Town of Lindley, NY. Rescue 8-8 with a crew of 5 responded. Upon arrival, it was found that a tractor trailer had lost control and struck a guardrail rupturing a fuel tank before coming to rest in a jack-knife position. R8-8 went to work with HAZMAT pads to control any run off of diesel fuel and also set up traffic control by shutting down Route 15 North and diverting traffic onto the ramp. Units from both departments remained on scene while T&R Towing setup to remove the vehicle and clear the hazards. The scene was turned over to T&R and all units returned at 0732 hours.

KRIEGER GRANT AWARDED TO LFD

03/2014
The Lawrenceville Fire Department has received notification from the Albert S. and Mary Guiles Krieger Foundation of being awarded funding for a safety project. With the help of this award and others being pursued, the LFD will make our station safer by having a non-slip surface installed on our floors in the apparatus bays. This will help prevent slip accidents on wet floors when responders and other visitors are within our station. The Lawrenceville Fire Department would like to thank the Krieger Foundation for their contribution and continued support to our organization.
